Job Description

Make an impact supporting students across Pre-K through 8th grade in an engaging district-wide role. This contract opportunity centers on evaluation-focused responsibilities rather than daily in-building interactions, allowing you to specialize and maximize your expertise in school psychology. Based at the district office, you’ll primarily conduct evaluations, oversee Early Intervention (EI) transitions, facilitate domain meetings, and support MTSS referral meetings as needed. Last year, the district conducted 63 evaluations and guided 17 EI transitions, giving you the chance to focus your time on these essential areas.

The position offers a clear Monday through Friday schedule with hours from 7:45 AM to 3:30 PM. This district values efficient processes, support for its professionals, and a collaborative environment. Immediate start is available, and the contract extends through June 19, 2027.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement; pending licensure is accepted for travel professionals
  • School psychologist experience in educational settings, preferably with Pre-K through 8th grade populations
  • Strong collaborative and communication skills for leading meetings and working with multidisciplinary teams
  • Comfort with evaluation procedures and familiarity with EI transitions and TPBA processes
  • CPI training is not required for this position, as the work is district-office based

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and complete student evaluations as assigned
  • Run and facilitate domain meetings and MTSS referral discussions when necessary
  • Oversee Early Intervention transition process, including total participation-based assessments (TPBA)
  • Collaborate with district staff and ensure accurate and timely documentation
  • Serve as a resource to staff related to evaluation and transition processes

Step into a specialized role that supports student growth while offering a balanced schedule and focused responsibilities. Apply now to help shape positive student outcomes in a supportive educational environment!

Compensation for this position ranges from $44.92 to $64.92. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
