Experience the opportunity to support students across pre-K through 8th grade as a contract professional specializing in school psychology. This position is based at the district office and is uniquely focused on conducting evaluations and facilitating key transition processes, minimizing involvement in the daily, on-site demands typical of building-based school psychologists.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current or pending Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) and School Psychologist endorsement
  • Experience conducting comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations preferred
  • Background in early intervention, including familiarity with TPBA processes, is advantageous
  • Ability to run domain meetings and participate in multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Strong communication and organizational skills to manage multiple evaluations efficiently
  • Comfort working in a central office setting rather than a traditional school building

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and document psycho-educational evaluations for students in pre-K through 8th grade
  • Facilitate and oversee early intervention (EI) transition processes
  • Attend MTSS referral meetings as needed to discuss individual students
  • Directly manage all aspects of 60+ annual evaluations
  • Conduct and chair domain meetings for evaluation planning
  • Maintain accurate records while adhering to district and state guidelines
  • Collaborate with other district professionals to support best practices in student assessment

This is a contract position with a schedule running from 7:45 am to 3:30 pm daily, beginning as soon as possible and lasting through June 19th, 2027.
