Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist in a vibrant school setting near Rockford, IL. This full-time position (37.5 hours per week) offers the chance to make a genuine impact on elementary and early childhood students throughout the upcoming school year. With three openings available, there's flexibility to find the ideal fit for your skills and interests.

The assignment begins with a comprehensive orientation on August 3rd, ensuring you’re well-prepared before students return for the academic year from August 11th through May 28th. You'll support students' communication, language, and social development—helping them achieve their goals in a collaborative and caring educational environment.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • State of Illinois Speech Language Pathologist license (active or eligibility to obtain before start date)
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois, current or attainable
  • Master’s degree in Communication Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field
  • Open to candidates with CCC or CFY status
  • Previous experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
  • Enthusiasm for working with elementary and/or early childhood populations
  • Strong teamwork, documentation, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and therapy for students with speech, language, and communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress
  • Maintain records and comply with all documentation requirements
  • Serve as a resource on communication development for school teams
  • Attend orientation and participate in ongoing professional development
