Job Description
Embrace an exciting opportunity to support students as a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist covering a maternity leave in a vibrant educational setting near Cicero, IL. This full-time, onsite contract runs from September 4, 2026 through December 11, 2026, providing support to both elementary and middle school learners during a critical period in their development.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in Illinois (required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting, working with elementary and/or middle school populations
- Deep understanding of IEP process, assessments, and progress monitoring
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
- Exceptional communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech and language services according to students’ IEPs
- Conduct evaluations, write comprehensive reports, and develop targeted IEP goals
- Maintain detailed session notes and progress documentation, adhering to all district and legal requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies supporting student success
- Facilitate engaging, individualized, and group therapy sessions
- Provide guidance, resources, and education to teachers and families regarding communication and language development
This assignment is strictly onsite, offering a consistent Monday–Friday schedule of 37.5 hours per week throughout the contract duration.
