Job Description
Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting students in both elementary and middle school settings. This onsite role is a full-time position for a maternity leave coverage, running from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026. You'll be part of a dedicated team, providing essential therapy and support to help students succeed academically and socially.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid and active Illinois SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Prior school-based SLP experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with students at the elementary and middle school levels
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable working in an onsite school environment five days a week
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to assigned caseload of students
- Assess, diagnose, and develop individualized treatment plans for communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to IEP meetings as necessary
- Create an inclusive and engaging environment that reflects sensitivity to diverse student needs
- Uphold ethical standards and comply with all school and state regulations
