Job Description
Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist supporting students during a maternity leave coverage in the vibrant North Chicago area. This full-time, onsite contract spans from September 4, 2026, through December 11, 2026, offering a chance to make a meaningful impact within elementary and middle school settings. You’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule, totaling 37.5 hours per week, collaborating closely with a dynamic educational team.
Key Qualifications:
- Current, active Illinois SLP license (required)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in school-based settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Comfortable providing speech and language services to both elementary and middle school students
- Commitment to onsite service delivery; remote options are not available for this role
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students
- Develop and implement IEP goals tailored to each child’s needs
- Deliver direct therapy sessions individually and in group settings
- Document progress and maintain accurate student records
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and parents to support student growth
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute as a valued interdisciplinary team member
