School Psychologist in Middletown, OH

Take on a dynamic role as a School Psychologist, working with K–5th grade students in a supportive and collaborative environment. This contract position requires immediate coverage through November 2nd, offering a meaningful opportunity to support elementary school-aged children across two nearby schools—each just a short drive apart.

In this role, you’ll manage a full-time schedule from 8am to 4pm, splitting your week evenly: two and a half days at each school, working with young learners and their dedicated educational teams. You’ll be an essential part of student support by conducting RETRs (Re-Evaluations for Eligibility for Special Education) and IETRs (Initial Evaluations for Testing and Referral), as well as offering guidance in addressing behavioral needs.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist certification or licensure
• Previous experience in a school setting, preferably with K–5th grade
• Proficiency with RETRs and IETRs processes
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Flexibility to work across two school locations

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and interventions
• Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide support and strategies for behavioral and academic needs
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment for all students
