A dedicated school district near Middletown, DE is seeking a full-time School Psychologist to enrich their team for the 2026–2027 academic year. This contract position runs from late August through early June, offering opportunities to collaborate closely with educators, students, and families.
As an essential member of the student support services department, your expertise will help foster positive academic and emotional outcomes across various grade levels. The preferred schedule is five days onsite, but a flexible hybrid option of three days in-person and two days remote is available for the right candidate.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid certification or licensure as a School Psychologist
- Previous experience in school-based settings preferred
- Ability to conduct psychological assessments, create individualized interventions, and contribute to IEPs
- Strong communication skills with students, staff, and parents
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion practices
- Ability to build rapport with students from varied backgrounds
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, consultation, and counseling services to students
- Collaborate with educators on intervention strategies and behavior plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams and assist in developing IEPs
- Support crisis intervention efforts and coordinate with external resources as needed
- Maintain comprehensive documentation and comply with all relevant regulations
