1st Grade 4th Grade Occupational Therapist School Setting in Camden, ME

Qualifications and Experience:

• Possesses a current and valid Maine Occupational Therapy license
• Direct experience or strong interest in working with elementary school-aged children
• Solid understanding of OT interventions for academic and developmental skills in school settings
• Ability to design and implement therapy plans for diverse learners
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with educators and families
• Familiarity with IEP development and documentation is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized OT plans targeting educational success
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy services to 1st-5th graders across various classroom settings
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student participation and inclusion
• Monitor and document progress, adjusting interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
• Participate in multi-disciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP teams
• Offer resources and strategies to staff for enhancing classroom accessibility and student engagement

This contract offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, providing a consistent routine to build relationships and see your students thrive. The role starts as soon as possible and extends through June 9, 2027, allowing you to make a lasting difference over several school years.
