Make a difference in the lives of students by delivering high-quality occupational therapy services across two vibrant school communities. This contract position offers a dynamic schedule: spend one day per week in Peoria working exclusively with students in an Emotional Disabilities (ED) setting, and three or more days each week in Bloomington, where you'll support a diverse caseload including ED, Autism (Aut), Life Skills, and other specialized needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in Illinois
  • Previous experience working in school-based settings preferred
  • Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Ability to adapt approach to serve students in both ED and mixed-exceptionality classrooms
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with educators, families, and staff
  • Efficient organizational skills to manage documentation and scheduling across locations

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students’ needs
  • Develop and implement targeted treatment plans to support educational goals
  • Deliver direct therapy to students individually and in group settings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for IEP meetings and progress reviews
  • Communicate skill development strategies to teachers and caregivers
  • Maintain all required student records and documentation in a timely, accurate manner
  • Provide consultative support and professional recommendations to school teams
