Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher (SPED) license required
• Experience working with students in specialized resource or non-traditional educational settings preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with parents, general education staff, and outside service providers
• Commitment to creating inclusive, individualized educational plans that foster student growth
• Adaptability to work with varying caseloads and schedules, as details will be finalized upon placement

Primary Responsibilities:

• Direct instruction and support for students with diverse learning needs, ensuring access to curriculum and specialized resources
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), collaborating with multidisciplinary teams for effective educational outcomes
• Accommodate and modify instructional practices to meet individual student goals
• Maintain comprehensive documentation and progress reports in compliance with district and state regulations
