  • Valid Connecticut Special Education Teaching License
  • Strong background in designing, implementing, and evaluating IEPs
  • Familiarity with high school age learners and secondary curriculum
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized instruction to students with special needs
  • Manage a unique caseload and tailor educational plans for individual growth
  • Participate in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and family conferences
  • Create an inclusive and positive learning atmosphere
  • Collaborate proactively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
  • Adapt instructional strategies to address student strengths and challenges
  • Maintain accurate, thorough records and comply with all state and federal guidelines
