Make a difference in the lives of students by providing specialized instruction and support as a Special Education Teacher. This full-time, contract opportunity spans the 2026-2027 school year, offering an impactful role within a supportive elementary environment. The assignment runs from August 26, 2026, through June 17, 2027, focusing on a Learning Resource Center 1 (LRC1) caseload.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington State Special Education Teacher license and certification (required)
  • Willingness to complete or obtain fingerprint clearance through OSPI prior to start
  • Passion for fostering growth in students with diverse learning needs
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
  • Previous experience in a resource room setting (preferred, not required)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dynamic and differentiated instruction to students with special needs, ensuring IEP compliance and progress monitoring
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual student goals
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive classroom environment
  • Maintain accurate student records and provide regular updates on progress and outcomes
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to effective team decision-making
