Qualifications:
- Valid Washington Special Education Certification required
- Previous experience as a Special Education or Life Skills Teacher preferred
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students, staff, and families
- Dedication to fostering an inclusive, nurturing classroom environment
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver specialized instruction to elementary students in a Life Skills classroom setting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support IEP goals
- Adapt curriculum and teach functional academics, social, and self-care skills
- Foster engagement, independence, and positive behaviors
- Monitor student progress, maintain records, and communicate regularly with families
