This full-time position focuses on making a meaningful impact in the lives of approximately 30 students, fostering their academic and personal development throughout the school year. The role is entirely onsite and offers the chance to work within a supportive educational environment located near Lakewood, WA.

Your responsibilities will include planning and delivering individualized instruction, collaborating with general education staff, supporting IEP development, and maintaining accurate records. You’ll be part of a team that values commitment, adaptability, and proactive communication as you guide students toward achieving their goals.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for the state of Washington
  • ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Credential through OSPI
  • Recent experience working with elementary-aged students in a resource room setting preferred
  • Strong knowledge of IEP processes and compliance
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Excellent organization, collaboration, and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring legal compliance
  • Maintain regular communication with families and staff
  • Track and report student progress toward educational goals
