Key Qualifications:
- Washington Special Education Certification is required
- Experience working in special education or with life skills programs, particularly at the elementary level, is highly desired
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families
- Ability to adapt instructional methods for diverse learning needs
- Sincere commitment to empowering students to reach their fullest potential
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging, individualized instruction to students in a life skills special education setting
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with other educators and service providers
- Foster a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment that encourages independence and social development
- Track student progress, collect data, and regularly communicate with families and team members
- Promote inclusion and advocacy for students with unique learning needs across the school community
