Step into a dynamic role where you’ll provide vital support to high school students with complex needs. As an Occupational Therapist working in a school-based setting, you’ll make a meaningful impact every day by empowering students in grades 9 through 12 to achieve greater independence and success. This contract position begins August 11, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027, offering a predictable schedule of 37.5 hours each week from 7:30am to 3:00pm.

Your expertise will directly influence the educational and developmental outcomes for approximately 18 students. You’ll collaborate with teachers, families, and other professionals to foster positive growth and help students overcome barriers to participation in their daily school life.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working in a school or pediatric setting, especially with high school-aged students
  • Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
  • Strong skills in supporting students with complex physical and cognitive needs
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Ability to adapt strategies to individual learning needs and environments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and assess students’ functional abilities and needs
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized therapy plans
  • Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
  • Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for accommodations or modifications
  • Offer consultation and education for staff and families
  • Foster a collaborative, supportive learning environment
