Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting K-8 students in a vibrant school setting near Elgin, IL. You'll work side-by-side with a collaborative and experienced team of eight Occupational Therapists, contributing your expertise to help students achieve meaningful growth throughout the academic year—from August 18, 2025, through June 4, 2026. This position offers a consistent schedule of 35 hours across five days per week and is also open to part-time applicants.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure in the state of Illinois
- Previous experience within a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with special education processes, including MTSS and IEPs
What You'll Do:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to K-8th grade students
- Participate in team-based initial and re-evaluations to assess students for special education eligibility
- Provide guidance and MTSS/IEP support, ensuring interventions are meaningful and effective
- Partner with teachers and staff to embed therapy strategies throughout the school environment, promoting generalization of skills
- Maintain all necessary documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
