Special Education Teacher - Universal City, TX

In this contract position, you'll work closely with approximately 24 students, helping them succeed academically and socially. What we’re seeking:

• Valid Texas Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience or knowledge in K-8 special education inclusion settings
• Ability to manage and adapt lessons for diverse learners
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Commitment to positive classroom management and differentiated instruction
• Reliable transportation to the school site; ensure you can commute to the provided location before applying

You will:

• Support students with diverse learning needs, tailoring educational plans and interventions
• Implement IEPs, monitor student progress, and adjust strategies as needed
• Foster an inclusive, safe, and encouraging classroom environment
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other team members
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student goals and progress
• Uphold compliance with all district, state, and federal guidelines
