Special Education Teacher - Grove City, Ohio

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist K–12 Mild/Moderate License or Alternative Intervention Specialist License
• Prior experience with middle school students strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, documentation, and compliance
• Skilled at collaborating with general education teachers, particularly in Math and English for grades 7 and 8
• Effective communicator, both with parents/guardians and interdisciplinary teams
• Organized and detail-oriented in tracking progress and maintaining records

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct services and specialized instruction as outlined in students' IEPs
• Co-plan and collaborate closely with Math and English teachers to support inclusion for 7th and 8th grade students
• Take the lead in writing, attending, and facilitating IEP meetings for your caseload
• Maintain timely and thorough documentation of all services, communications, and compliance activities
• Monitor student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure growth
• Fulfill additional teacher duties as assigned to contribute to a positive school environment
