Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Proven experience developing and implementing IEPs (Individualized Education Programs)
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and families
• Adaptability to diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Previous classroom teaching experience preferred

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute individualized learning plans tailored to students’ unique strengths and needs
• Foster an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom climate
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively provided
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as necessary
• Communicate regularly with families to share updates, celebrate successes, and address concerns
• Maintain accurate records and comply with all district and state special education requirements
• Create a positive, nurturing environment that motivates students and encourages their growth academically, socially, and emotionally
