Special Education Teacher in Oregon City, OR

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid special education teaching certification or eligibility in the state
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs
• Solid understanding of instructional strategies for exceptional learners
• Ability to create Inclusive classroom environments
• Commitment to fostering educational and social growth for all students
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to partner with staff and families
• ELS (English Language Support) experience is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with varying abilities
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum to meet unique student needs and learning styles
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to deliver coordinated services
• Maintain documentation related to assessment, progress, and compliance
• Foster a safe, engaging, and positive classroom culture
• Participate in IEP meetings and parent conferences as required
