Key Qualifications:
- Current, valid Ohio certificate/license in Education of the Handicapped K-12 or Intervention Specialist K-12 (Moderate/Intensive or Mild/Moderate)
- Experience delivering instruction in resource room, inclusion, and small group tutoring settings
- Proven ability to work effectively with students with multiple disabilities
- Skilled in collaborating with interdisciplinary staff and engaging with diverse communities
- Competency in accessing and writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted instruction and intervention tailored to kindergarten students’ unique learning needs
- Utilize a variety of educational models, including resource room and inclusion, to support student development
- Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs in compliance with state and federal education regulations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, support staff, and families to create a positive, inclusive learning environment
- Foster each student’s academic and social-emotional growth through adaptation of curriculum and teaching strategies
- Monitor student progress, document outcomes, and adjust instruction as needed
