This contract opportunity is based in a supportive educational environment serving grades 9–12, where you’ll join a dedicated team focused on helping learners achieve their fullest potential.
In this setting, you’ll provide direct instruction within a special education classroom, working with class sizes ranging from 12 to 25 students who receive special education services for most of their school day. You’ll have a chance to make meaningful connections with your students and build strong relationships with families, general education teachers, and a team of related service providers.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Valid Arizona Psych License and current IVP Card
- Arizona Special Education Certification (SPED Cert)
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or closely related field
- Experience or strong interest in teaching high school students with diverse learning needs
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Strong communication skills for family engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct, differentiated instruction in a special education setting
- Develop tailored IEPs with input from students, families, and staff
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
- Partner closely with general education staff, service providers, and families to foster student growth
- Participate in school meetings and ongoing professional development

- Assignment at one school site, allowing you to build rapport and consistency with your students
