In this setting, you’ll provide direct instruction within a special education classroom, working with class sizes ranging from 12 to 25 students who receive special education services for most of their school day. You’ll have a chance to make meaningful connections with your students and build strong relationships with families, general education teachers, and a team of related service providers.

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona Psych License and current IVP Card
• Arizona Special Education Certification (SPED Cert)
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or closely related field
• Experience or strong interest in teaching high school students with diverse learning needs
• Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Strong communication skills for family engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct, differentiated instruction in a special education setting
• Develop tailored IEPs with input from students, families, and staff
• Monitor student progress and adjust strategies as needed
• Partner closely with general education staff, service providers, and families to foster student growth
• Participate in school meetings and ongoing professional development
