Special Education Teacher - Bedford, Ohio

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Current credentials as a Special Education Teacher
• Demonstrated experience working in settings serving students with Multiple Disabilities (MD), preferably in early elementary grades
• Familiarity with managing individualized education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching approaches to support a range of developmental and cognitive needs
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create structured, predictable routines
• Strong communication with students, staff, and families, ensuring collaboration and support for each learner’s growth

Responsibilities:

• Implement adapted lesson plans, delivering engaging instruction according to established IEP goals and district standards
• Maintain a highly structured, positive classroom environment that prioritizes safety and learning for all students
• Collaborate with support staff and fellow educators to monitor progress, adjust interventions, and foster an inclusive atmosphere
• Establish rapport with students, guiding their social, emotional, and academic development during the leave
• Diligently document progress, updating records in accordance with school district policies
