Step into a fulfilling contract role supporting students’ growth and academic success in a highly respected school setting for the 2026-2027 school year. This opportunity offers two full-time positions for dedicated, compassionate Special Education Teachers near Bedford, NH, working with 5th and 6th graders. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with 32-37.5 hours per week, lasting from August 2026–June 2027.

Open Positions:

  • Resource Room Special Education Teacher: Manage a grade-level caseload of approximately 15 students, providing targeted instructional support to help students reach their individual educational goals.
  • Life Skills/Intensive Needs Special Education Teacher: Lead a self-contained classroom serving 3 students with complex medical needs and/or autism spectrum disorders. Each student benefits from dedicated paraprofessional support, allowing for individualized attention and a collaborative team atmosphere.

Ideal candidates bring expertise and warmth to their classrooms, fostering an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for all students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification required.
  • Previous experience with upper elementary grade students preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with paraprofessionals and related service providers.
  • Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
  • Experience supporting students with autism, developmental disabilities, or medical complexities is highly valued.
  • Excellent communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.

  • Assess and document student progress and goals.
