Bring your expertise as a school-based Occupational Therapist to a contract opportunity supporting K-12 students near Aurora, CO. This onsite position is full-time, with a weekly commitment of 37.5 hours, Monday through Friday. Your role will provide essential leave coverage, allowing you to deliver occupational therapy services to students in diverse school environments. While the specific number of schools and details regarding age groups may vary, you will play an essential role in facilitating student success and enhanced participation across multiple educational settings.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education Occupational Therapist certification (serving ages birth through 21)
  • Demonstrated school-based OT experience, particularly with K-12 populations
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff
  • Familiarity with providing services in varied settings within the educational environment
  • Commitment to completing time-sensitive credentialing and background checks if selected

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions for students of varying ages and needs
  • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing expertise to team planning and documentation
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to develop and implement appropriate supports, modifications, and accommodations in the classroom
  • Maintain clear, accurate records and progress notes as required by the school district
  • Adapt equipment and instructional approaches to maximize each student’s participation in the educational environment
