Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience with school-aged children or in educational settings preferred
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, teachers, and families
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability across various school assignments
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop individualized treatment plans to address fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and other needs
- Deliver therapy sessions individually and in groups, based on IEP goals
- Monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed for optimal outcomes
- Consult with teachers and staff to adapt classroom materials and environments
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to students’ educational planning
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all special education documentation requirements
