Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting young learners with a focus on early childhood special education for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position offers the unique chance to work with an elementary caseload, providing impactful support and guidance to students during their critical developmental years.

As a valued member of a dedicated and caring school community located near Salem, NH, you’ll collaborate with fellow educators and utilize your special education expertise to create engaging, inclusive learning environments. Four enthusiastic special education professionals are sought for this elementary-focused need, offering the chance to create meaningful connections and provide individualized instruction and interventions.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher Certification (dual certification no longer required)
  • Previous experience in early childhood and/or elementary settings is a plus
  • Genuine passion for supporting students’ social, emotional, and academic growth
  • Strong communication skills with a collaborative approach
  • Flexibility and commitment to fostering positive educational outcomes

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ unique needs
  • Work closely with families, support staff, and general educators to support inclusion and learning goals
  • Employ a variety of instructional and behavioral strategies to inspire and motivate students
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to special education regulations and deadlines
  • Foster a safe and nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued
