What we're seeking in candidates:

• Valid Special Education Teaching certification (active and in good standing)
• Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Ability to modify curriculum and instruction based on students' unique needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with general education staff, support personnel, and families
• Comfortable working with a variety of learning disabilities, emotional/behavioral disorders, or physical challenges
• Organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining required documentation
• Positive, supportive attitude and a commitment to student growth

Core responsibilities for this position:

• Deliver engaging, tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs in small groups or one-on-one settings
• Assess student skills and progress using formal and informal tools
• Develop, update, and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Work closely with general education teachers and other service providers to ensure accommodations are in place
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, successes, and strategies for support
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and school community activities
• Advocate for students’ needs and create an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
