Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid New Hampshire Special Education teaching license required
- Previous success working with elementary-age students in a special education setting highly preferred
- Commitment to completing fingerprinting within 3 weeks of placement in NH, per state regulations
- Strong ability to adapt teaching strategies and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction following IEPs, adapting materials and teaching styles to meet diverse learning needs
- Foster an inclusive classroom where all students are supported academically, socially, and emotionally
- Track progress and maintain accurate records in alignment with district and state requirements
- Participate in meetings with families and educational teams to review IEPs and student outcomes
- Create a safe, encouraging environment through positive behavioral support and proactive classroom management
