Make a difference in the lives of young learners by providing support and quality instruction as a Special Education Teacher for two grade levels. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 2026 through June 2027, with a Monday through Friday schedule and 32-37.5 hours per week. It’s the ideal role for educators passionate about individualized support and collaborative approaches to student growth.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience with elementary school students, particularly in grades 2 and 5
- Familiarity with individualized education programs (IEPs), progress tracking, and family communication
- Strong organizational and case management skills for a caseload of approximately 15 students
- Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning styles and needs
- Willingness to work occasionally across two school sites within the same district (locations provided upon interview interest)
- Excellent team collaboration and communication abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction aligned with each student’s IEP and academic goals
- Provide direct teaching and differentiated support in both classroom and small group settings
- Manage all aspects of case documentation, progress reports, and compliance with district/state requirements
- Communicate regularly with parents, fellow educators, and support staff to ensure student success
- Participate in IEP meetings, data analysis, and planning sessions throughout the academic year
- Guide, motivate, and advocate for students in grades 2 and 5, maintaining a positive and inclusive environment
- Adjust teaching strategies based on ongoing assessments and student feedback
