Diagnostician Special Education Teacher - Crown Point, Indiana

What you’ll need:

• Valid certification or licensure as an Educational Diagnostician
• Experience conducting educational assessments and eligibility determinations in a K-12 setting
• Knowledge of IDEA and state special education procedures
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse school communities
• Previous experience with special education caseloads preferred

Your key responsibilities:

• Administer assessments and interpret evaluation results
• Prepare comprehensive written reports in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to determine eligibility and develop IEPs
• Collaborate with teachers, related service staff, and families to support student growth
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and schedules
• Travel to various sites within the county as assigned

This full-time, contract position averages 7 hours per day, typically between 7:45am and 3:15pm. The daily caseload will vary by district need, providing a chance to use your skills in a flexible and varied environment.
