Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (Indiana or eligible for reciprocity)
- Previous experience in a K-2 Special Education classroom preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes, implementing modifications and accommodations
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities
- Passion for creating inclusive, supportive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction to meet individual student goals in a small classroom setting
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families to support student success
- Create engaging lesson plans incorporating both academic and social-emotional learning components
- Adapt instructional materials and strategies as needed to address different learning styles and abilities
- Track and report on student progress, maintaining clear and consistent documentation
