With four available openings in various life skills classrooms, you'll work on-site within a dynamic and collaborative team.

Your main focus will be an intermediate life skills class serving nine students, supported by two experienced paraprofessionals in the room. The caseload is multi-categorical, providing an engaging mix of instructional and adaptive challenges. This is a highly interactive role that values your expertise and creativity in delivering tailored learning experiences.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teaching Certification for the state of Indiana
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation
• Experience working with students in life skills or multi-categorical special education settings preferred
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with paraprofessionals, students, and families
• Dedication to fostering a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction based on students’ IEP goals
• Collaborate with paraprofessionals to ensure a safe and effective learning space
• Monitor, record, and report student progress, adapting strategies as needed
• Communicate regularly with families and staff for comprehensive student support
• Participate in team meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement activities
