Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Board Certification in Special Education
• State licensure (or eligibility) for teaching Special Education
• Previous experience working with middle and/or high school students preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Exceptional communication and classroom management skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in dynamic school environments
• Skilled in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and families

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop, modify, and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Provide direct instruction, support, and interventions to help students achieve their learning goals
• Work closely with general education teachers to facilitate access to curriculum and promote inclusion
• Employ a variety of evidence-based strategies to address academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs
• Maintain accurate records, write reports, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Engage with families and caregivers to support student success and consistent communication
• Contribute to a positive, supportive learning environment that celebrates student growth
