Special Education Teacher - High Point, NC

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Demonstrated experience or strong interest in working with K-5 or 6-8 students
• Knowledge of best practices in special education, including IEP development and classroom differentiation
• Collaborative spirit to partner with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff
• Strong communication skills for interacting with families and district personnel
• Commitment to nurturing students’ emotional, behavioral, and academic growth

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized instruction for students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and monitor IEPs in compliance with all legal requirements
• Modify curriculum to support student access and success
• Track student progress, keeping thorough records and making data-driven decisions
• Foster a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment
• Work as a supportive team member in professional development and collaborative meetings
• Communicate consistently with students’ families about progress, goals, and strategies
