Special Education Teacher - Anoka, MN

Make an impact working alongside dedicated educators at a specialized learning center supporting students with diverse and significant needs. This full-time contract position is ideal for compassionate, skilled Special Education Teachers who are committed to fostering growth and achievement in students with behavioral and severe disabilities.

This role serves a Setting 4 caseload, providing direct services to elementary through high school-age students. You’ll have the opportunity to create meaningful connections, deliver targeted interventions, and contribute to a collaborative environment focused on positive behavioral and academic outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Currently hold a valid Minnesota Tier 3 or Tier 4 Special Education Teaching license (required)
• Experience working with students who demonstrate significant behavioral challenges and/or severe disabilities
• Confidence in managing complex classroom environments and individualized learning plans
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Adaptability and compassion, with eagerness to contribute in a team-based setting
• Must submit both a resume and active MN Special Education Teacher license for consideration

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction and support for Setting 4 students across a range of grade levels
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and support staff to ensure holistic student support
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning and positive behavior
• Maintain thorough records and consistent communication regarding student progress

This opportunity covers the 2026-2027 school year, with regular Monday-Friday daytime hours in a supportive, resource-rich environment.
