Make a positive impact while enjoying a flexible part-time schedule as a School Psychologist in a California K–12 school environment. This contract position calls for a compassionate professional committed to nurturing student growth—academically, behaviorally, and emotionally—by working closely with teachers, families, and support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual and group psychoeducational assessments to support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs, including disabilities and autism spectrum challenges.
  • Evaluate student requirements and recommend special education services, interventions, and accommodations.
  • Take an active role in preparing for and facilitating Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, ensuring collaborative coordination with teachers and families.
  • Advise educators on instructional strategies, behavioral interventions, and IEP implementation, fostering effective parent communication.
  • Guide new student referrals by overseeing the IEP process, communicating program details, and arranging classroom visits.
  • Maintain strong relationships among families, schools, healthcare providers, and agencies, ensuring seamless support for students.
  • Keep accurate and thorough documentation as per school and state requirements.
  • Serve as administrative designee as needed and provide ongoing consultation regarding students’ needs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Specialist-level graduate degree in School Psychology, or a Master’s degree with 60+ graduate credits.
  • Valid California Department of Education School Psychologist credential.
  • Certified copy of transcripts.
  • Experience with psychological assessments and school-based services preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with a diverse range of professionals, students, and families.
