School Psychologist in Discovery Bay, CA

Embark on a rewarding school-based contract opportunity as a psychologist for the upcoming second semester of the academic year. This full-time position offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by completing comprehensive assessments, participating in IEP meetings, and providing essential mental health support.

You’ll work 37.5 hours each week from January 4, 2027, through May 28, 2027, engaging with students across various grade levels (specific site and grade assignments to be determined). In this vital role, your expertise in testing, report writing, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams will ensure students receive the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally.

Qualifications & Experience Sought:

• California PPS credential in School Psychology or the ability to obtain
• Prior experience as a School Psychologist in an educational setting strongly preferred
• Proficiency conducting psychoeducational assessments and writing detailed reports
• Familiarity with IEP processes and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams
• Comfort supporting students with behavioral and emotional needs, providing counseling as needed
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Adaptability to varying grade levels and campus settings

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Administer psychological and behavioral assessments to students
• Write clear, thorough psychoeducational reports
• Attend and contribute to IEP meetings as part of the support team
• Offer counseling services and support positive behavior interventions
• Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to develop individualized student plans
