Special Education Teacher | Fairfield, California

Make an immediate impact as a Special Education professional supporting high school students in need of resource support services. This contract opportunity runs from now through June 6, 2027, and is located near Fairfield, CA, specifically in the Dixon area. With a full-time schedule—Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM and Fridays 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM—you’ll be dedicated to a caseload of 21 high schoolers, providing essential RSP services. The position features a dedicated IEP block and prep period, ensuring you have the resources and time to deliver top-level support.

Your expertise will ensure that each student achieves their academic and personal growth goals in a supportive, inclusive environment.

About You:

• Hold an active California Mild/Moderate Education Specialist credential (required)
• Experienced with high school student populations and resource support programs
• Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs, and collaborating with both staff and families
• Able to effectively organize caseloads, prep time, and comply with all reporting requirements

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver specialized instruction to a resource caseload of 21 students in a high school setting
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support, monitor, and document students’ progress toward their goals
• Work closely with teachers, staff, and families to foster student success
• Utilize an IEP block and preparation time for planning and compliance
