Step into a meaningful contract opportunity where your skills as an Occupational Therapist can make a daily difference in the lives of students. This full-time role runs from November through February and focuses on serving elementary and middle school students near Saint Paul, MN. As a valued professional in this educational environment, you’ll support students’ growth, help them achieve classroom success, and collaborate with a dynamic multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Active Minnesota OT license (or eligibility for licensure).
  • Prior experience in school-based settings, particularly with children in elementary and middle grades, is highly valued.
  • Effective communication skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, documentation, and the special education process.
  • Compassion, flexibility, and a student-centered approach to therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans to improve functional skills for classroom participation.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services using evidence-based practices.
  • Collaborate with teachers and support staff to implement strategies addressing students’ fine, sensory, and gross motor needs.
  • Attend and contribute to IEP meetings, providing expertise and recommendations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student progress and therapy sessions.
  • Counsel families on at-home strategies and resources to reinforce student success.
