Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting elementary and early childhood students in a dynamic school-based environment near Monticello, MN! As a full-time Occupational Therapist, you’ll play a vital role in fostering student growth, independence, and participation throughout the academic year, from September 1, 2026, to June 3, 2027. With a focus on younger learners, you’ll have the chance to create meaningful interventions tailored to developmental needs, collaborating with a supportive team of educators and professionals.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Valid OT license in the state of Minnesota (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
- Expertise in serving elementary and/or early childhood populations
- Solid understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work onsite full-time (37.5 hours per week)
Key Contributions:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ functional and developmental needs
- Collaborate with teachers, interventionists, and families to implement strategies that promote student success in school routines
- Develop and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with district and regulatory standards
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing professional recommendations and progress updates
- Create and adapt programs to address sensory, fine motor, and daily living skills essential for academic participation
