Special Education Teacher | Saint Paul, Minnesota

This role, located near Saint Paul, MN, spans the 2026–2027 academic year, starting September 1, 2026 and concluding June 4, 2027. With a weekly schedule between 37.5 to 40 hours, you’ll make a meaningful impact within an inclusive elementary school environment, collaborating closely with paraprofessionals and an intervener to support a manageable caseload of up to 10 students.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current, active special education license required; candidates must hold valid PELSB/MDE certification as prerequisite
• Must meet Tier 2 requirements
• Preferred experience or background as an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) teacher
• Proven ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to supporting individualized education plans (IEPs) and fostering student growth
• Knowledge of best practices for elementary-aged students in special education settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of up to 10 students, providing direct instruction and support aligned with IEPs
• Partner with paraprofessionals and an intervener to promote an inclusive, supportive classroom environment
• Develop and implement effective teaching strategies for students with diverse learning needs
• Maintain accurate records, evaluate student progress, and communicate regularly with families and school staff
• Engage in ongoing professional development and school initiatives
