School Psychologist in Detroit, MI

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a dedicated School Psychologist in a vibrant school community near Detroit, Michigan. This contract opportunity for the 2026-2027 school year offers flexibility with 20-30 onsite hours per week, working either with elementary students across three buildings or middle schoolers in two buildings. You’ll collaborate with caring educators and families, providing vital services to help every student succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid School Psychologist certification/license in Michigan
• Experience or strong interest in K-8 settings
• Ability to conduct psychological assessments, create intervention and behavior plans, and write effective reports
• Strong collaboration skills to work with teachers, staff, and parents
• Comfortable adapting to multiple campuses and engaging diverse student populations
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

Your Role:

• Deliver psychological evaluations and assessments to guide individualized student support
• Develop, implement, and monitor effective intervention plans and strategies
• Participate in IEP team meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary discussions
• Offer direct counseling and support to students as needed
• Consult and collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to enhance student outcomes
• Help create a positive, inclusive learning environment across assigned school buildings
