Job Description
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a contract School Psychologist in a supportive educational environment near Dearborn, MI. This opportunity allows you to collaborate closely with educators and families while providing essential psych services across elementary (3 buildings) or middle school (2 buildings) settings. With a flexible schedule spanning 20-30 hours per week onsite, you'll have the chance to engage with a diverse student body and contribute to a positive school climate.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
- Valid School Psychologist certification/license for Michigan
- Experience working within elementary and/or middle school environments preferred
- Strong assessment, counseling, and consultation skills
- Ability to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Collaborative mindset for working with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct student evaluations for academic, behavioral, and emotional concerns
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and support services as needed
- Engage in data-driven decision making to support student development and achievement
- Participate in Response to Intervention (RTI) processes
- Maintain thorough records and uphold all relevant compliance standards
- Offer staff training and guidance on student mental health and wellness topics
