This travel pharmacist opportunity in Glendale, AZ offers a unique chance to gain valuable experience within a federally supported Indian Health Service (IHS) facility. Over a 13-week assignment, you will provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services across inpatient and outpatient settings, supporting a diverse patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric cases.

Schedule/Hours:

  • 7 on / 7 off rotation
  • Workweek: Wednesday through Tuesday
  • Hours: Mon–Fri 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM; Sat & Sun 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care and medication management in accordance with facility policies
  • Participate in rotational shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Support pharmacy-based clinics while contributing to program development ensuring high-quality clinical services
  • Potential career advancement to Advanced Practice Pharmacist levels with responsibilities for clinical services, program oversight, and staff supervision
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a culturally diverse community serving Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute patients

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited institution
  • Current, valid, unrestricted pharmacist license in any U.S. state or territory (AZ license not required)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Minimum 2 years as a Registered Pharmacist and 1 year clinical pharmacist experience
  • Ability to submit and clear fingerprinting prior to assignment start
