Travel Federal Pharmacist - Tucson, Arizona
Job Description
Provide expert pharmaceutical care and medication management services across a main campus and several satellite clinics within a culturally rich and diverse community. Deliver direct patient care to a broad patient demographic including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric populations. This role offers a clear path for professional growth through multiple pharmacist tier levels, advancing to specialized clinical positions and leadership opportunities.
Location: Tucson, AZ (Travel Assignment)
Schedule/Hours:
- Rotational shifts including day, evening, night, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services aligned with organizational policies
- Deliver direct clinical pharmacy care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Serve as a clinical resource in specialized pharmacy clinics offering ongoing evaluation and improvement of clinical programs
- Manage clinic operations, providing technical and administrative supervision to pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, assistants, and billers
- Administer policies and procedures consistent with organizational mission and values
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes across diverse healthcare services
Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Pharmacist with Federal pharmacy experience
- Experience in a variety of clinical pharmacy settings covering a wide range of patient populations
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to lead specialized pharmacy clinics
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience managing pharmacy personnel
- Commitment to culturally competent patient care in a diverse community environment
