Travel Federal Pharmacist | Tuba City, Arizona

Provide comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services across a main campus and multiple satellite clinics in a culturally diverse, semi-desert region. This travel position offers opportunities to work with patients across all age groups including neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric populations. The role involves rotational shifts, covering days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care and clinical pharmacy services in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Participate in career advancement through tier levels from Pharmacist to Advanced Practice Pharmacist.
• As an Advanced Practice Pharmacist, lead specialized pharmacy-based clinics, develop clinical programs, and uphold policies aligning with organizational mission and values.
• Provide technical and administrative supervision to pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, technicians, assistants, and billers.
• Manage clinic operations, ensuring highest standards of pharmaceutical care and compliance.

Desired Experience:

• Licensure as a pharmacist with experience in federal pharmacy operations preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge to support a broad patient demographic.
• Skills in managing pharmacy programs and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Effective communication and cultural competency working with Native American communities and diverse populations.

Location:

• Tuba City, AZ, located in Northwestern Arizona’s Colorado Plateau with a unique landscape and rich cultural environment.
• Serve a wide geographic area providing referral-level care to Navajo, Hopi, and Southern Paiute tribal members.
