Make a meaningful difference across Pre-K through 8th grade, supporting students and families as a contract school psychologist. Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold or be eligible for an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Psychologist endorsement; applications are welcome from candidates with pending credentials.
  • Prior experience as a school psychologist or in educational settings is highly desirable.
  • Strong skills in evaluation, report writing, and interdisciplinary communication.
  • Familiarity with MTSS frameworks and effective practices for student referrals.
  • Ability to facilitate domain meetings and oversee complex processes like EI transition and TPBA assessments.
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities in a district-level role.
  • CPI training is not required for this position.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological and educational evaluations (approx. 63 annually) for students across Pre-K to 8th grade.
  • Lead domain meetings to gather key insights and engage stakeholders.
  • Oversee and participate in the EI (Early Intervention) transition process, including completion of TPBA assessments (approximately 17 transitions last year).
  • Attend and provide input at MTSS referral meetings for individual students as needed.
  • Collaborate with staff across the district, while based at the central office, focusing on evaluations and meetings rather than daily onsite student interactions.

Position Details:

  • Contract begins as soon as possible and continues through June 19th, 2027.
  • Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 3:30 pm.
